4. S Jessie Bates III

Over on defense, free safety is most definitely where Baltimore needs to see an improvement entering 2022. Brandon Stephens finished the year with more than 70 tackles, but fans didn’t like that he didn’t record an interception.

On top of that, veteran Anthony Levine recently announced as well that he’s retiring from the game. That means Baltimore will not only need depth, but a step-up for Stephens. How about Jessie Bates III?

Bates is coming off an impressive year with the Cincinnati Bengals, playing a key role in the team getting to the Super Bowl. Bates was quite steady for the Bengals, posting 88 total tackles and an interception. He’s recorded at least 100 tackles in three of his four NFL seasons.

Cincinnati would love to have Bates back next season to try and help the team get back to the Super Bowl, but he’s going to receive plenty of attention in free agency. Baltimore would be wise to try and sign him.
