5 targets for Ravens in 2022 NFL free agency
2. CB Mike Hughes
Cornerback Mike Hughes is coming off the best season of his NFL career, making a big impact after making his way to the Kansas City Chiefs from the Minnesota Vikings. Hughes appeared in every game in 2021, making five starts.
Hughes finished with a career-high 47 tackles, while adding four forced fumbles and an interception. Things just weren’t going well for him in Minnesota, and he definitely took advantage of his new-found opportunity with the Chiefs.
Because of his strong play, Hughes made himself some money entering free agency. Cornerback Tavon Young could end up getting cut this offseason too for Baltimore. Young has plenty of potential, but injuries have been a problem in the past. Hughes would be a cheaper option too. If Baltimore does cut Young to create cap space, Hughes would be a solid replacement for the cornerbacks room.
