Cardinals rumors: Sign Archie Bradley for bullpen help

It’s believed the St. Louis Cardinals are seeking two relievers. What type of reliever doesn’t matter, as long as they are effective. What better target than Archie Bradley.

In 53 games with the Philadelphia Phillips in 2021, Bradley was 7-3 with two saves in 51 innings pitched. He tossed 40 strikeouts. In seven seasons, he was 30-28 with 30 saves. He had 465 strikeouts in 463 innings. He has a history of being quite effective. Placing him in front of the Cardinals defense good be excellent for the Cardinals to get through an inning or two.

Bradley’s pitching arsenal includes a four-seam fastball, a sinker, a curveball, and a changeup. Bradley’s curveball averages 78.2 mph with a 56.1-inches vertical drop and an active spin of 78 percent.

A righty, Bradley, 29, could be a great fit for the Cardinals bullpen for middle to late relief duties.
