1. Marcus Williams

There are many who may best remember Marcus Williams for his part in allowing the Minneapolis Miracle but the safety is far more than that one rookie mistake.

A former second-round pick out of Utah, Williams has spent five seasons with the Saints performing at a consistently high level. New Orleans hasn’t had to worry much about his spot in the secondary since adding him to the mix.

Williams is now the most coveted safety on the free-agent market. His age is a plus at just 25 years old. He’ll turn 26 in September. He also hasn’t had to deal with major injury concerns, starting 76 games in his career with 15 interceptions and 38 pass deflections.

Of course, the desirability will ramp up the price for Williams, who should get a contract competitive with the top safeties in the game. Jamal Adams is making $17.5 million, Harrison Smith is making $16 million and Justin Simmons is at $15 million.
