5 targets for Eagles in 2022 NFL free agency

D.J. Chark could be the exact type of wide receiver talent the Eagles are missing
As long as Hurts is the Eagles’ starting quarterback, look for them to attack the middle of the field in the short-to-medium range. One free agent who could fit right into what the Birds want to do is D.J. Chark of the Jacksonville Jaguars. While leaving Trevor Lawrence behind with Doug Pederson taking over in Duval will not be easy, Chark is the type of receiver who can thrive alongside Hurts.
The cool part is he will seemingly alternate with DeVonta Smith as the Eagles’ No. 1 receiving option. What will serve the Eagles going forward offensively is to be as creative and explosive as possible. Simply put, they need to be predictably unpredictable. Chark can do a lot of different things as a receiver. More importantly, he has a connection with backup Gardner Minshew already.
Chark has spent his entire pro career out of LSU in Jacksonville. Though things might be looking up for the moribund AFC South franchise in North Florida, it might also be time for Chark to turn the page. He will have options in free agency as a second-tier receiver hitting the market. If he goes to the right system, this is a Pro Bowl-level talent we are talking about. Hurts to Chark, who says no?
The Eagles do not need a No. 1 wide receiver, so landing an underrated one in Chark makes sense.
