WWE fans in shock after Edge heel turn on AJ Styles
By Scott Rogust
WWE fans were shocked to see Edge turn heel when A.J. Styles accepted his WrestleMania challenge.
Last week on Monday Night Raw, Edge laid out the challenge for any superstar to compete in the ring against him at WrestleMania 38. At the end of Raw, we found out who will be facing the “Rated R Superstar” inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Edge asked for anyone to come to the ring to challenge him at WrestleMania, and it was answered by none other than A.J. Styles. Edge then laid out some insults towards Styles before attacking him, eventually kicking him below the belt.
If it was not solidified already, Edge turned heel after hitting Styles with not one, but two con-chair-to’s.

Ever since Edge made his return to the ring at the 2020 Royal Rumble, fans were eying a potential match with Styles down the line. The two did have a stare-down in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Now, it is happening, but who would have thought that Edge would turn into the villain in the feud?
Two years ago, Edge’s WrestleMania 36 match with Randy Orton was set up with Orton hitting him with an RKO and a con-chair-to. Two years later, it is the “Rated R Superstar” hitting Styles with two consecutive con-chair-to’s.
Edge versus A.J. Styles at WrestleMania has been confirmed by WWE. We will keep you posted as to what night the match will take place at the two-night event.
