WWE rumors: ‘No way’ Triple H will wrestle at WrestleMania 38
By Scott Rogust
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter says there is “no way” Triple H competes at WrestleMania 38.
WWE is pulling out all of the stops for WrestleMania 38, the two-night event on Apr. 2-3. From Ronda Rousey competing for the SmackDown Women’s Championship to social media star Logan Paul making his in-ring debut. Even 76-year-old WWE chairman Vince McMahon is rumored to be having a match at the show against sports media star Pat McAfee.
During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez asked if there is a chance that Triple H could compete at the company’s biggest show of the year. Dave Meltzer shut down the possibility, citing Triple H’s heart issues.
“No, Triple H would be a terrible idea,” Meltzer said, h/t WrestlingNews.co. “His heart situation is, he can’t. I don’t want to say never because that’s because that’s unfair because maybe he can do something but that would be a horrible idea for him and that’s not gonna happen this year. There’s no way.”

Back in September, WWE announced that Triple H underwent a medical procedure after suffering a cardiac event. The company said in their statement that the event occurred due to a genetic heart issue.
Since this event, Triple H has stepped aside from overseeing the NXT 2.0 brand. Shawn Michaels has since taken over those responsibilities.
The last time Triple H officially competed in a WWE ring on television was back in 2019 at Super ShowDown in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he lost to Randy Orton. His last bout at WrestleMania took place that same year, where he defeated Batista in a No Holds Barred Match at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
While McMahon may or may compete at WrestleMania, Meltzer says that there is no chance that Triple H competes at WrestleMania this year.
