Allen Robinson should finally get the chance to test free agency this offseason and these five teams would be great fits for him.

This year’s free-agent wide receiver class is loaded but one man who stands to get paid quite handsomely is Allen Robinson. The Chicago Bears franchise-tagged Robinson last offseason and saw him struggle through injuries to post his worst numbers as a Bear, racking up just 38 catches for 410 yards and one touchdown in 12 games.

That performance and the fact that Robinson is set to turn 29 in August means it is unlikely that Chicago will use the franchise tag on him again, allowing Robinson to truly test the open market for the first time since emerging as a star with the Bears. A lot of teams will be on the hunt for receiver help this offseason but these five teams offer the best fits for Robinson going forward.

5. Top landing spots for Allen Robinson – Jacksonville Jaguars

This would be a homecoming for Robinson, who began his NFL career in Jacksonville and was injured during the Jaguars’ incredible run to the AFC Championship Game in 2017. There is surely some unfinished business for Robinson in Jacksonville, which has money to burn and an intriguing offensive setup for him to land in.

Head coach Doug Pederson has proven he can build an offense and has a Super Bowl ring on his finger from his time in Philadelphia. The Jaguars also have a talented young quarterback in Trevor Lawrence who showed flashes of brilliance as a rookie, which should appeal to Robinson.

The fit makes sense since Jacksonville needs a No. 1 receiver to help Lawrence reach his full potential and can pay Robinson handsomely to be that guy. The question here is whether Robinson wants to go to a team that is pretty far from a Super Bowl in exchange for a higher salary.
