2. Top landing spots for Allen Robinson – Cleveland Browns

There is a lot of drama in Cleveland right now as the franchise has to make a decision on Baker Mayfield’s future after a disastrous fourth year. Mayfield did play hurt for most of the season, which undoubtedly impacted his performance, but the Browns didn’t help his cause with an ill-fated marriage to Odell Beckham Jr.

The release of Beckham in the middle of the season helped restore some harmony to the Browns’ locker room but left Mayfield without a true No. 1 receiver. Jarvis Landry served as the de facto top receiver but his skill set is better suited to being a Robin to a bigger target’s Batman.

Robinson would bring that quality to Cleveland with much less drama than Beckham provided. The Browns are also just one year removed from a playoff appearance and have a team ready-made to contend in the AFC North, giving Robinson a good chance to make a return to the postseason.

In terms of the salary cap, the Browns are in a similar boat as Chicago, entering the offseason with roughly $23 million in cap room. Cleveland can definitely afford to give Robinson a solid payday as they aim to give Mayfield every chance to succeed before deciding how to proceed with his future.
