Tiger Woods buries Phil Mickelson after winning inaugural Player Impact Program
Tiger Woods was announced as the Players Impact Program winner on Wednesday and he trolled Phil Mickelson on Twitter for it in hilarious fashion.
Never celebrate too early. This is something you’d think a golf veteran like Phil Mickelson would know by now, but things have come back to bite him in a nasty way. Before things were final, Mickelson had announced on Twitter that he was the victor of the inaugural Player Impact Program.
On Wednesday, Tigers Woods, who hasn’t appeared in a PGA tourney event since his car crash last February, was announced as the winner, netting him a cool $8 million. To make things even sweeter for Woods in this case, he just had to poke fun at his friend Mickelson for his giant error.

That is just ice cold from Woods right there. The replies to his tweet are gold, with several people poking fun at Mickelson as well. While not winning might be a bummer for Mickelson, he ended up finishing in second place. With that, he took home $6 million.
So at the end of the day, he’s still got plenty of reasons to smile and he’s surely not going to be too upset with Woods zinging him a bit in this case. Next time, however, Mickelson may want to wait until things are over and announced with. Otherwise, people, including Woods, will be ready to troll him all over Twitter once again.
