Seattle Seahawks Mock Draft – Third Round

72. player. 36. Pick Analysis. USC. Drake Jackson . Scouting Report. DE

Looking over at defense, the pass-rush for the Seahawks was abysmal in 2021. Seattle simply couldn’t put any pressure on the quarterback all of last season, and it was frustrating to see. Enter USC defensive end Drake Jackson?

In the third round, Seattle holds the No. 72 overall pick and Johnson would be a strong get at this point. The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder was one of the most feared defensive ends in the Pac-12 in 2021, as he had a knack for getting by blockers.

This past season, Jackson posted 37 total tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble and an interception. He’s got the kind of motor that would be a welcome addition to the Seahawks defense too.

In order for Seattle to make some noise next year and not lose 10 games, they’ve simply got to improve things up front for the defensive line. Jackson could end up being a beast for the unit if the Seahawks do draft him.
