AEW Tag Team Championship: Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) (c) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs. reDRagon (Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish)
Jurassic Express won their first titles in AEW by defeating the Lucha Brothers for the Tag Team Championships in the main event of the Jan. 5 episode of Dynamite. Afterward, the tag team division watched on from the stage as the duo celebrated. Jurassic Express defended their titles against the Dark Order, Private Party and the Gunn Club.
Now, they will have to take on both the Young Bucks and reDRagon at Revolution.
There were two tag team battle royals in the two episodes of Dynamite heading into the pay-per-view event. reDRagon won the first battle royal after tricking the Young Bucks, leading to some tension among the friends of Adam Cole. But, the Young Bucks did win the second battle royal on March 2 by last eliminating Top Flight.
This match has the potential to steal the show. Picking a winner could be difficult. But given the tension between the Young Bucks and reDRagon, they may very well prevent each other from winning the Tag Team Championships. Jurassic Express just won the titles, and they are not losing them just yet.
Winners: Jurassic Express
Face of the Revolution Ladder Match (Winner Receives AEW TNT Championship Match): Keith Lee vs. Ricky Starks vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Wardlow vs. Christian Cage
The Face of the Revolution Ladder Match has become a staple of the annual Revolution event. Six competitors face off with the winner earning a TNT Championship Match down the line.
Keith Lee made his AEW debut and qualified for this bout after defeating Isiah Kassidy. Wardlow, who dominated his opponents in recent months, beat Max Caster. Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Dante Martin and was joined by Team Taz member and FTW Champion Ricky Starks, who defeated 10 of the Dark Order. Orange Cassidy defeated Anthony Bowens. Christian Cage earned the final spot in the ladder match on the March 4 episode of Rampage by defeating Ethan Page.
When looking at the top choices, it comes down to Lee and Wardlow. While Lee winning would put him in the TNT Championship picture to begin his AEW career, a feud with Team Taz has already been teased in the lead-up to Revolution. Wardlow is becoming one of AEW’s more popular wrestlers, as he has dominated opponents with his Powerbomb Symphony. That, and the seeds have been planted for his eventual break from MJF’s stable, “The Pinnacle.”
Wardlow wins, leading to a feud with MJF, who may try to take away his TNT Championship match.
Winner: Wardlow
