AEW Revolution 2022 predictions: Hangman Page vs. Adam Cole will shine

AEW Women’s World Championship: Dr. Britt Baker, DMD (c) vs. Thunder Rosa
Nearly one year ago, Thunder Rosa defeated Dr. Britt Baker, DMD in an unsanctioned lights out match. Now, the two are set to face off for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Baker won the title by defeating Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing 2021. She has retained the Women’s World Championship six times against Nyla Rose, Red Velvet, Kris Statlander, Ruby Soho, Tay Conti and Riho, with some help from Rebel and Jamie Hayter.
It was only a matter of time before Rosa stepped up to Baker as her next challenger. Rosa defeated Mercedes Martinez, who Baker hired to take Rosa out of the picture, in a no-disqualification match on Feb. 16 episode of Dynamite. On March 2, Rosa and Martinez defeated Baker and Hayter after Rosa pinned the champion.
Prior to this past week, it felt as though Rosa was the favorite to win the match. But given that Baker was pinned just days ahead of Revolution, that may be a tell. This match can go either way, but if we had to pick a winner, we choose Baker.
Winner: Dr. Britt Baker, DMD
AEW World Championship Match: “Hangman” Adam Page (c) vs. Adam Cole
“Hangman” Adam Page has been a fighting AEW World Champion since defeating Kenny Omega at Full Gear 2021. He went to a 60-minute time limit draw against Bryan Danielson at Winter is Coming before defeating Danielson in a bloody 30-minute match on the Jan. 5 episode of Dynamite. His last defense, he defeated Lance Archer in a Texas Death Match on the Feb. 9 edition of Dynamite. After that match, he was confronted by Adam Cole, the No. 1 contender to his title.
Cole joined AEW back at All Out, aligning himself with The Elite. Once Omega left for a hiatus after losing the World Championship to Page, Cole took charge. He has The Young Bucks and reDRagon, which has created some turmoil from within.
In single’s action, Cole has compiled a 5-0 record in 2022, which helped propel him up the rankings.
Cole and Page have shown that they are capable of putting on great matches. Now, the two are set to face off. Expect there to be some tremendous wrestling with some interference sprinkled in by reDRagon, the Young Bucks and the Dark Order. Page’s title run has just begun, and it is not ending at Revolution.
Winner: “Hangman” Adam Page.
