Charles Barkley took a borderline inappropriate cheap shot at Aaron Rodgers

NBA legend Charles Barkley is the latest person to absolutely torch Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. 

The longer Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers waits to make a decision, the more people are going to keep going after him. Rodgers has been getting ripped left and right, and now Charles Barkley has decided to join in on things.

Earlier this week, Barkley took a wild shot at Rodgers but did so in a way that shouldn’t really make anyone feel good about if they’re cheering it on.

Ever the wordsmith, Barkley tried to make a point about how needy Rodgers is but did so in a way that comes across as a bit sexist.

He could have easily had said ‘person’ or ‘partner’ rather than making the swipe a gendered one.

Barkley’s assault on Rodgers didn’t end with his controversial and misguided phrasing.

On top of that, Barkley called Rodgers and other star signal-callers ‘greedy pigs’ for trying to earn massive contracts. Barkley is entitled to his opinion, but Packers fans aren’t too happy with him trolling Rodgers like this.

The hope is that Rodgers will be making his decision within the next couple of weeks. He’s either going to retire, return to the Packers this fall or potentially suit up for a new squad. Everything is in play and people across the world are just waiting to see what he decides.

Green Bay is optimistic he’ll be back in town, which would obviously keep them in the Super Bowl conversation for 2022. Last season, Green Bay earned the No. 1 seed in the NFC and looked prime to potentially bring home the Lombardi Trophy, but they were stunned in the Divisional Round by the 49ers.

From the moment that game ended, the speculation on Rodgers’ future began. Trade rumors have swirled, while there’s still a lot of fans out there who think he’ll end up hanging up his cleats. We should find out soon enough what happens here, but Barkley will be ready to keep going after him if things continue to be delayed.
