There is a non-zero chance that the Steelers decide they don’t want to spend their first-round selection on a quarterback. If that happens, look for Tomlin to bang the table for a high-quality cornerback that can strengthen his secondary.

Booth is a step below Sauce Gardner and Derrick Stingley as a prospect, but he still represents exceptional potential value at No. 20. There’s a strong chance a team will fall in love with his athletic gifts and above-average intelligence and decide he’s worthy of a pick in the teens.

If that doesn’t happen, the Steelers will give him a long look when they get on the clock. He has the size and speed required to function as a No. 1 corner on the outside. The former Clemson standout should be able to walk right in and start immediately for the team that drafts him.

Again, the question for Pittsburgh here is whether or not they can afford to not use their sole first-round pick on a quarterback. If they elect to go for value over positional need, then Booth could turn into a great pick for them at No. 20.
