Twitter users reacted to the anticipated match between Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley at AEW Revolution.
AEW Revolution 2022 on Sunday, March 6, featured a ton of memorable moments, such as an incredible triple threat Tag Team Championship Match and a bloody Dog Collar Match between CM Punk and MJF. But one of the other anticipated matches on the card was Bryan Danielson taking on Jon Moxley.
At Revolution, Moxley defeated Danielson in a bloody match. Danielson put on the triangle choke, but Moxley floated over to pin Danielson.
After the match, Danielson and Moxley began exchanging strikes until William Regal made his AEW debut. Regal slapped both of them across the face, before telling the duo to shake hands. Both Moxley and Danielson obliged.
Twitter reacted to the brutal fight and the shocking debut of Regal.
This. This is exactly what I never knew I needed. William Regal as the manager of a Danielson & Moxley led team/faction is the definition of perfection. #AEWRevolution

Twitter reacts to Bryan Danielson-Jon Moxley match at AEW Revolution
Leading up to the match, Danielson wanted Moxley to join him in a partnership to help guide the younger wrestlers in AEW. But, Moxley said that he would team up with Danielson only if they “bleed together” in a singles match. Well, there was a lot of blood spilled on Sunday.
Danielson dominated the beginning of the match, hitting Moxley with a variety of kicks. But, Moxley was able to eventually get back into it. The two eventually engaged vicious strikes on the outside of the ring, but a forearm to the head by Danielson left busted wide open across.
The two exchanged a variety of submission holds, but each reversed them. Eventually, Moxley took advantage after using his long legs to kick Danielson in the head repeatedly. He even put Danielson in the bulldog chokehold, but Danielson got out of it before hitting the running knee strike.
Danielson seemingly had the match won once he put on the triangle choke, even throwing punches and elbow strikes to Moxley’s head. Yet, he was outsmarted by Moxley with the countered submission into a rollup pin.
Now, it appears the partnership is finally happening, but with Regal seemingly leading the way. All we can say is — yes, please.
