If you’re looking for some potential chaos or bid thievery the A-10 Tournament is appointment television this week. The A-10 is loaded with quality teams yet only has one surefire lock for the NCAA Tournament, which could lead to some madness in Washington.

The safest team out of the A-10 is Davidson, which went 25-5 during the regular season and scored a key victory at Alabama in December. The Wildcats have excellent metrics as well and should be in even if they lose, which is a strong possibility since they are staring at a difficult semifinal matchup against either preseason favorite St. Bonaventure or Saint Louis, which was in the bubble fray for a while.

The bottom of the bracket features Dayton, which has a win over Kansas on its resume and just toppled Davidson, as the No. 2 seed that needs help thanks to four unsightly Quadrant 4 losses on its resume. VCU has been surging as well down the stretch but will likely have a tricky matchup with Richmond before a potential semifinal date with the Flyers.

The desperation factor and talent level of Dayton should win out here as the Flyers have the most to gain by winning the A-10’s automatic bid. The Flyers are the tentative pick here but at least six teams have a legitimate case to cut down the nets and win the conference tournament in Washington on Sunday.

Prediction: Dayton
