Watch: Aaron Rodgers sends message to Packers fans through Pat McAfee
By John Buhler
Pat McAfee shared Aaron Rodgers’ message that he will be returning to the Green Bay Packers.
On his popular YouTube show, Pat McAfee relayed a message from Aaron Rodgers that the Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback will remain with the franchise.
Rodgers had contemplated retirement for a second offseason in a row. Though he was also at least briefly considering a trade out of town, McAfee’s relayed message felt like Rodgers was either going to keep on playing for the Packers, or simply retire. With Rodgers reportedly in the process of agreeing to a massive extension to stay in Green Bay, Packers fans should be amped.
No matter how it ends, it seems as though Rodgers will only play with Green Bay before retiring.

As long as Rodgers remains the Packers’ franchise quarterback, Green Bay will remain a viable threat to come out of the NFC and play for championships. Of course, the Packers have not been to one since 2010, Rodgers’ third year as the starter. Given that he is playing some of his best football into his late 30s, who is to say he does not have one more Super Bowl run left in him?
What his relayed message on The Pat McAfee Show shows is Aaron Rodgers Tuesdays will probably be a thing again next football season. Though he has a growing friendship with McAfee, this highly publicized weekly segment will continue as long as Rodgers’ former teammate and McAfee’s co-host A.J. Hawk is a prominent part of the program. Hawk co-hosts the second hour.
As for what happens in the rest of the NFL world, the first major domino of the offseason has fallen. Rodgers returning to Green Bay means the Packers will bring back his favorite wide receiver Davante Adams. Green Bay will stand to be the overwhelming favorite to win the NFC North yet again. Other teams who were in dire need of a franchise quarterback must pick up the pieces now.
It may not seem like much, but Rodgers’ return means the upper echelon of the NFC stays strong.
