4. TE Gerald Everett (Seattle Seahawks)

Last offseason, the Vikings released two-time Pro Bowl tight end Kyle Rudolph after 10 seasons with the club. He finished his career in the Twin Cities with an impressive 453 receptions, good for 4,488 yards and 48 touchdowns. He was part of four playoff teams with Minnesota and it was his TD grab in overtime at New Orleans in the 2019 NFC Wild Card Playoffs that sent the team to the next round.

In 2019, the club used a second-round pick on University of Alabama tight end Irv Smith Jr. He was coming off a solid second season in which he caught 30 passes for 365 yards and five scores. But he missed all of this past year with a meniscus injury. Fourth-year pro Tyler Conklin finished third on the club with 61 grabs, three for TDs. But he and Chris Herndon are scheduled to become free agents.

Tight end Gerald Everett spent four seasons with the Rams before joining the Seahawks in 2021. Which means he spent one year with new Vikings’ head coach Kevin O’Connell in Los Angeles (2020). The five-year pro comes off a career year in Seattle in terms of starts (12), catches (48), receiving yards (478), and touchdown receptions (4).
