1. Franchise tag Davante Adams

Now that Rodgers is locked in with the team, the main priority is making sure Adams doesn’t go anywhere. Green Bay, per Ian Rapoport, is expected to place the franchise tag on the superstar wideout.

This is a no-brainer. As important as Rodgers is to this offense, there’s no chance in hell the Packers can push for a Super Bowl if Adams isn’t on the field with him. Time and time again Adams has made defensive backs looked silly with his incredible routes.

Adams himself is on his way to a Hall-of-Fame career. There have been rumors of him potentially leaving in free agency, with his name even being linked to the Raiders several times due to his relationship with Derek Carr.

For Gutekunst, he’s got to get in contact with Adams and make sure they’re on the same page moving forward. Adams would love a long-term extension, but that might not be in the cards this offseason. For now, the franchise tag makes the most sense for Green Bay.
