Seattle Seahawks fans are furious with the team’s latest tweet after the Russell Wilson trade to Denver was reported.

Who in the world thought a tweet making fun of Russell Wilson would be a good idea from the Seattle Seahawks? On Tuesday, Adam Schefter broke the news that Seattle had traded Wilson to the Denver Broncos.

From the second that news dropped, people all over Washington state have been losing their minds. Now, people are even more frustrated with the organization after the team tweeted out what they thought would be a funny message.

The Russell Wilson trade news has broken hearts all over Seattle

Yes, that scene from the Tom Hanks’ movie Cast Away could be funny if used at the right time, but to fire that off after you’ve traded the franchise’s only Super Bowl-winning QB? There was just no need for this from Seattle and people are ticked off.

There are even more tweets out there of the Seattle faithful letting loose on the team for this. Seattle’s return from the Broncos was definitely head-turning, but now the team must find a new franchise QB.

Drew Lock was included as part of the package for Seattle, but there’s just no way he can come even close to Wilson’s level. People may go into full panic mode if Lock is the starter for the Seahawks come Week 1.

All in all, it’s been a wonderful day for people in Denver, but the same most definitely can be said for people in Seattle. Fans are hoping this is just a bad dream, but unfortunately, it’s more like a real-life nightmare. The tweet from the Seahawks only made things worse.
