3 quarterbacks Steelers should chase after missing out on Aaron Rodgers

Steelers rumors: Mitchell Trubisky an attractive target
Trubisky is one of the top free-agent quarterbacks on the market. While he struggled in Chicago after getting drafted with high expectations, much of that blame (at least thus far) has been placed on then-Bears head coach Matt Nagy.
In Buffalo, Trubisky impressed in his lone year behind Josh Allen. Evidently, his work ethic was second to none and he balled out enough in practice to receive rave reviews across the NFL. Trubisky will be a starting quarterback in the NFL next year, so why not Pittsburgh?
The Steelers are looking for a mobile veteran quarterback who can come right in and contribute. At the very least, Trubisky would be guaranteed the chance to enter a QB battle with Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins in training camp. He’d be favored to win that battle, as well.
Coming out of college, the Bears traded up to select Trubisky ahead of Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson. That kind of reputation followed him in every start in Chicago. Once he was able to leave and make a name for himself in a new city, Trubisky played admirably behind Allen.
On a short-term deal in Pittsburgh, he could find a new lease on life in the NFL.
