The Washington Commanders had to settle in trading for Carson Wentz after missing out on Russell Wilson and Eagles fans are letting them have it.
The journey continues for quarterback Carson Wentz, as he’s now headed to join his third NFL team: the Washington Commanders. With Indianapolis trading Wentz to Washington, it’s back to the NFC East for the signal-caller.
Wentz is a former first-round pick of the Eagles. He never lived up to the hype for the team and countless people have been rooting against him ever since he left town. Now, those same people are laughing at Washington for thinking he’ll be able to help out the organization.
Eagles fans are trolling Washington left and right for its Carson Wentz trade
Things just didn’t work out for Wentz in Indianapolis, but now he’s hoping a fresh start with the Commanders can get his career on the right track. People all over Philadelphia have plenty of confidence that won’t happen.
Oh the eagles are going to get to sack Carson Wentz a lot TWICE next year, that should be interesting

Can’t imagine he makes it past this year. #Eagles
Well now at least when Carson Wentz plays at the Linc, most of his passes will be caught by Eagles for a change

Who will get the loudest boos when they come back to Philly- Ben Simmons or Carson Wentz?
— Gregory Smith (@WheelinGreg) March 9, 2022
We see Simmons tomorrow. We will see Wentz in the fall.
Wouldn't it be great for the opener to be Washington at the Eagles?

The jokes really do write themselves, as Eagles fans are already dreaming of Wentz tossing multiple interceptions a game against Philadelphia. Can you imagine the reception Wentz is going to get when he returns to Lincoln Financial Field? People will be ready to boo him with all their might.
Philadelphia’s supporters are known as being some of the most passionate fans out there. We’ve seen just how passionate they can be with the tweets they’ve delivered following the newest Wentz trade news.
They really don’t like their former starting quarterback and people will be ready to remind him all about that twice a year starting next season. Meanwhile, for Washington fans, they’ll hope Wentz will be able to shut those Philadelphia haters up.
