56. . Offensive Lineman. Cincinnati Bengals. Zion Johnson. 31. player

The Cincinnati Bengals’ run to the Super Bowl was a magical one, as Joe Burrow came back from a torn ACL a year ago and proved to be one of the best young quarterbacks in football. With that run under their belts, they look to take the next step forward in 2022, but a tough AFC is going to be very hard to navigate.

What will make it even harder to navigate is the fact that the Bengals’ offensive line is terrible, and Burrow was hit far too often last season. To help in that category, Zion Johnson would be an outstanding get here at No. 31 overall, as he could start right away, and help keep Burrow off his back.

. Wide Receiver. Detroit Lions. Chris Olave. 32. player. 50

Not only do the Detroit Lions hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, but they also hold the No. 32 pick, after trading away Matthew Stafford last offseason. As Stafford went on to win the Super Bowl, the Lions struggled mightily, and because the Los Angeles Rams were Super Bowl champs, the Lions pick last in the first round this April.

With this pick, they should look to add a playmaker to the offense, and Chris Olave from Ohio State is someone who is not likely to fall out of the first round. In fact, Olave could be a top-15 pick, but if the chips fall the way they did in this mock draft, he becomes a steal and a perfect complement to Amon-Ra St. Brown in the passing game in Detroit.
