Philadelphia Eagles. George Karlaftis. 19. player. 54. . Edge

The Philadelphia Eagles’ third and final pick in the first round is at No. 19 overall, which means they will pick three times in a five-pick stretch. The Eagles have work to do on both fronts, and after improving the offensive line, they decide to bolster the pass rush on the defensive line here.

This selection is Purdue edge rusher George Karlaftis, who is just as good as most any other pass rusher in this year’s draft class. He plays with an incredible motor and has a rare ability to get after the quarterback, something this Eagles defense has been missing.

55. . Quarterback. Pittsburgh Steelers. Matt Corral. 20. player

It remains to be seen what the Pittsburgh Steelers plan to do at the quarterback spot, but one thing is for sure, they have to figure it out soon. Ben Roethlisberger is gone after leading the team to two Super Bowl wins, so now, they usher in a new era of Steelers football.

The Steelers were seen as in play for either Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson, but those two options are now off the table. That means they could go quarterback in this year’s first round, and if that is the case, Ole Miss star Matt Corral has to be the selection at No. 20 overall.

player. 47. . Wide Receiver. New England Patriots. Treylon Burks. 21

When it comes to the New England Patriots, what they were able to accomplish last season was improbable, as a rookie quarterback led them back to the playoffs. New England was bad the year before, their first year without Tom Brady in two decades, but Bill Belichick was able to right the ship in 2021.

Now they look to build around Mac Jones, and with pick No. 21, they bring in Treylon Burks, a playmaking wide receiver from Arkansas. Jones is used to throwing to elite deep threats, as he had a large cast of them at Alabama, and Burks has superstar written all over him.

28. . Defensive Lineman. Las Vegas Raiders. Devonte Wyatt. 22. player

In 2021, the Las Vegas Raiders finally made it back to the playoffs, but it was an incredibly steep mountain to get there. They navigated tragedy off the field and had plenty of injuries on it, but in the end, Derek Carr and company won ten games and earned a Wild Card spot.

Now, with a new regime in place, the Raiders look to take the next step forward, and they do so by bolstering the defensive line here. Devonte Wyatt can come in and start right away in Patrick Graham’s 3-4 defense, fixing one of the major issues on that side of the ball for the Raiders going into this offseason.
