Texas A&M basketball: Will Aggies make NCAA Tournament?
By Ethan Lee
This Texas A&M basketball season has been a roller coaster for the Aggies. They’ve been inconsistent, but good. Can they make the NCAA Tournament?
As the Texas A&M basketball team gets prepared for postseason life, will the Aggies be preparing for the 2022 NCAA Tournament?
With a 23-11 record on the season and an upcoming appearance in the SEC Tournament Championship Game, Texas A&M has shown flashes of greatness at various times throughout the season. While the Aggies have been far from perfect, Texas A&M has still looked very good against some pretty talented opponents here and there.
However, despite multiple lopsided wins and some notable victories over ranked foes, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi doesn’t think the Aggies will make it into the NCAA Tournament this season.
According to Lunardi’s bracketology, Texas A&M sits in the midst of the “next four out” grouping.
Texas A&M basketball: Will the Aggies actually make the 2022 NCAA Tournament?
At the moment, Texas A&M is on a seven-game winning streak. The Aggies are doing great through the SEC Tournament and were able to take care of the Florida Gators, Auburn Tigers, and Arkansas Razorbacks.
They’ve made it to the tournament championship and will be facing a really solid Tennessee Volunteers team. According to Lunardi, the only way Texas A&M can make it into the NCAA Tournament is if the Aggies are able to handle the Vols.
So, there’s a chance the Aggies make it in. Lunardi doesn’t seem overly confident in their ability to get into the tournament, but there’s a chance.
