Deshaun Watson reportedly rejects Seahawks interest
Seattle Seahawks fans were hoping Deshaun Watson would make his way to the team but that won’t be happening.
It feels like it’s only a matter of time before NFL fans find out where quarterback Deshaun Watson will be playing next. On Friday, it was revealed that he won’t be facing charges from his sexual assault case. Since that moment, teams have been showing trade interest.
This includes the Seattle Seahawks, who were eyeing Watson to take over the offense for Russell Wilson, who has been traded to Denver. According to the Houston Chronicle’s John McClain, Watson told the Seahawks thanks, but no thanks.

Deshaun Watson turning down the Seahawks stings for fans
There was hope that Watson could make his way to Lumen Field, but the fact that he rejected Seattle as a whole sucks for the fanbase. Now, it’s looking like Drew Lock could be in line to be the starter come Week 1, unless general manager John Schneider has a trick up his sleeve.
Meanwhile for Watson, Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson is reporting he’ll be meeting with the Saints and Panthers in person on Monday to discuss a potential move. Both teams have expressed serious interest in working a trade with the Texans to land him.
Watson missed all of last season due to his sexual assault case, but he’s made it clear he’s now focused on getting back on the field to play at his highest level. In 2020, Watson tossed for 4,823 yards and 33 touchdowns. He’s also a three-time Pro Bowler.
Everyone should have an answer soon as to where Watson will be suiting up in 2022. Thanks to McClain, we know Watson won’t be taking the field for the Seahawks come next season.
