The Las Vegas Raiders have signed Chandler Jones and have made a huge trade involving moving Yannick Ngakoue to the Indianapolis Colts.
It looks like the Las Vegas Raiders are making some pretty notable, headline-grabbing moves. Wednesday morning, news broke that the Raiders were working on reaching an agreement with free agent Chandler Jones.
That means the 32-year-old Jones will be leaving the Arizona Cardinals after six seasons and heading to Nevada to play for the Raiders. Jones is coming off of a season during which he played 15 games and recorded a total of 41 combined tackles. During the 2021-2022 season, Jones also had 10.5 sacks.
It looks like the Raiders are willing to pay Jones handsomely for his services. According to a tweet from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Las Vegas has offered Jones a three-year contract and will be paying him roughly $51 million.

Along with signing Jones, the Raiders have apparently reached an agreement with the Indianapolis Colts to trade Yannick Ngakoue for a cornerback. According to Rapoport, the Colts will be sending Rock Ya-Sin to Las Vegas in exchange for Ngakoue.
During the 2021-22 season, Ngakoue recorded 28 combined tackles and 10 sacks for Las Vegas. The 26-year-old Ngakoue has played for four different teams in the six seasons he’s been in the NFL and is fresh off his first season with the Raiders. Now he’s headed to play for his fifth team.
Ya-Sin has been in the NFL since he was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round during the 2019 NFL Draft. In his three seasons with Indianapolis, Ya-Sin recorded 138 combined tackles, snagged two interceptions, and recovered two fumbles.
