After a stunning loss to Saint Peter’s in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, Kentucky Wildcats fans want John Calipari to pack his bags and leave.

Welcome to March Madness. Tonight’s show features Kentucky Wildcats fans calling for the dismissal of basketball coach John Calipari.

After a stunning 85-79 overtime loss to the Peacocks, a 15-seed, the No. 2-seeded Wildcats have been eliminated, and needless to say, the Cat’s Boards were less than thrilled.

Good lord, have mercy. The folks in Lexington have every right to be mad, given how it is the second time in a row that a 15-seed knocked off a No.2 seed. Last year, Max Abmas and Oral Roberts eliminated EJ Liddell and Ohio State.

Kentucky basketball fans are calling for John Calipari’s dismissal after stunning loss to Saint Peter’s

For all the good that Calipari has done in terms of recruiting talent to send to the NBA, only twice has he ever played for the national championship, a loss to UConn in 2014 and his lone victory was when he had Anthony Davis and an upstart Michael Kidd-Gilchrist against Thomas Robinson and the Kansas Jayhawks.

Since then, it has been unfulfilled promises, including the 38-1 event against Wisconsin several years back. Against the Peacocks, it was pretty much the same. The game was tied at the half at 37. By the end of regulation, the same deal. In overtime, the Wildcats foul troubles and turnovers ultimately proved to be their demise.

While it is undoubtedly a great moment for the Peacocks players and fanbases, the Wildcat Nation will refuse to accept that fact. This loss may result in John Calipari no longer being the head coach. But who can they get to replace him if he indeed goes? Time will tell what comes next, but the boards have made their position clear.
