Rams sign Allen Robinson to 3-year deal, trying to defend title
The Los Angeles Rams have pulled off quite the move, signing star wideout Allen Robinson to a three-year deal.
Just when you thought the offense for the Los Angeles Rams couldn’t get more loaded, the front office has signed one of the best weapons available in free agency. With Allen Robinson saying goodbye to Chicago, he’ll pack his bags and head for the NFC West.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Rams and Robinson have agreed to a three-year deal for $45 million, with $30 million of that being guaranteed.
Allen Robinson signing with the Rams is big news for Matthew Stafford
While the Buffalo Bills have been the talk of the AFC for signing Von Miller to his mega-deal, the Rams are here to remind everyone that they are the reigning NFC and Super Bowl champs. With this move, it doesn’t mean that the door is closed for Odell Beckham Jr. to return too.
Per Schefter, Los Angeles is still hopeful they can sign Beckham this offseason as well for a reunion. The Rams could potentially feature a wide receivers unit including Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Beckham and Robinson. That’d be a nightmare for opposing defenses.
You know Matthew Stafford is of course jacked up with the addition of Robinson, who has recorded 1,000-yard receiving seasons in two of the last three years. That wasn’t with a potential Hall-of-Famer like Stafford tossing him the pigskin.
Robinson will also be going from a Bears team which has majorly disappointed in recent years, to a Rams’ squad that has the potential to repeat as Super Bowl champs. This shows just how serious LA is in doing everything possible to get that done. The Robinson signing is a win-win for everyone involved.
