Watch Russell Westbrook put Lakers fans through full range of emotions to force OT
By Scott Rogust
Russell Westbrook put Los Angeles Lakers fans in a glass case of emotion after making an overtime-forcing shot against the Toronto Raptors.
To say that Los Angeles Lakers fans had a stressful time watching their game against the Toronto Raptors may be an understatement.
The closing seconds of regulation were truly something, with the team going back and forth with the lead. With the Lakers down 113-116, LeBron James missed a game-tying three-pointer. Guard Russell Westbrook got the rebound and attempted a three of his own…but hit the top corner of the backboard.
Yet, with just two seconds remaining in regulation, Westbrook attempted another shot from behind the arc, and hit it to send the game to overtime.

Westbrook was not done, as he actually helped assist the game-winning shot. With the game tied at 122 points, Westbrook dished out an assist to Avery Bradley, who hit a 23-foot three-point jump shot to take a 125-122 lead.
The Lakers went on to win, 128-123, to bring an end to their three-game losing streak.
Westbrook secured a triple-double in Toronto, as he scored 22 points (8-for-18 from field, 4-for-7 from three-point line), grabbed 10 rebounds and recorded 10 assists in 41 minutes of playing time.
James scored 36 points while shooting 15-for-26 from the field. He also recorded nine rebounds and seven assists.
The Raptors had a huge performance from rookie Scottie Barnes, who posted a double-double by scoring a career-high 31 points (14-for-21 from the field) and hauling in 17 rebounds.
Westbrook certainly made the game interesting, but the Lakers walked out of Scotiabank Arena with the win. Now, the team quickly pivots to the Washington Wizards, who they face off against on Saturday, March 19.
