Allen Robinson thanks Bears fans in touching goodbye letter to Chicago
After spending four memorable seasons with the Chicago Bears, Allen Robinson said goodbye to the fanbase on Sunday with an emotional message.
Allen Robinson is ready to try and win a Super Bowl. A popular target in free agency, Robinson ended up signing a three-year deal with the reigning champs the Los Angeles Rams. As excited as Robinson is for his move to California, that doesn’t mean he won’t miss Chicago.
Robinson joined the Bears in 2018 and spent four years with the team. In a Twitter message for fans, Robinson let everyone know just how thankful he was for the love and support from the day he joined the team.
Chicago will always be special for Allen Robinson
Robinson, who spent the first four years of his career with the Jaguars, joined the Bears and immediately became the No. 1 wide receiver. Robinson put together some strong performances for Chicago. In 2020, he was sensational, catching 102 balls for 1,250 yards and six scores.
The season before, Robinson posted 98 receptions for 1,147 yards and seven touchdowns. Both those campaigns solidified him as one of the top wideouts in the NFC. Unfortunately for Robinson, his production dipped a bit this year, as he was held to just 410 yards in 12 games played.
That’s not how he wanted to end his time with the Bears, but Robinson will now turn the page and look to try and help the Rams repeat as champs. Robinson must be all smiles too knowing that he’ll be getting the ball thrown to him by Matthew Stafford.
On top of that, LA’s wide receivers unit is stacked, as Robinson joins Cooper Kupp as the headliners. While the Rams did trade Robert Woods, there’s still a shot they re-sign Odell Beckham Jr. this offseason as well.
