Michigan fans troll rival Michigan State for another early March Madness exit
By Ethan Lee
The Michigan State Spartans were eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Tournament by Duke and Michigan Wolverines fans are loving it.
One of the best parts of seeing your rival lose while your team wins is the perfect opportunity to hassle them about their failures and struggles. Michigan basketball fans know exactly what this is like right now.
Unfortunately for another fanbase in Michigan, Michigan State basketball fans also know what that’s like.
Tom Izzo and his Michigan State basketball team were completely unable to get past the Duke Blue Devils Sunday evening. Though the Spartans showed some promise, Duke was too much and the Blue Devils eliminated Michigan State from the tournament.
Unsurprisingly, Michigan fans are having a ball with that development.
March Madness: Michigan basketball fans roast Michigan State for NCAA Tournament exit
Of course, this all comes as Michigan is thriving in the midst of March Madness right now. The Wolverines are in the Sweet 16 and it looks like they’ve got a team that could really make some noise in the NCAA Tournament as it continues on.
Michigan State, on the other hand, is done. Completely and totally done. The Spartans will head back to East Lansing and experience March Sadness.
This is a huge day for Michigan basketball fans. The Wolverines are in the Sweet 16 while the Spartans and the Ohio State Buckeyes are sitting at home. There’s no way that’s not a thrill for the Wolverines.
