The Packers need to get Aaron Rodgers some help in Round 1 of April’s draft. Here are five guys who can help Green Bay right away.

Aaron Rodgers only re-signed with the Packers because he believed they are ready to challenge for another Super Bowl title. Trading Davante Adams to the Raiders isn’t going to change Green Bay’s goals for next season. That’s why the franchise will be looking for immediate help in Round 1 of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The only real upside to moving Adams in the short-term is that now the Packers have two first-round picks to work with next month. The No. 28 overall selection always belonged to Green Bay but they now own the No. 22 pick as a result of the trade with the Raiders.

The team’s front office might like to exercise patience via the draft, but they need both of their first-rounders to be immediate contributors this season. Selecting a wide receiver to replace Adams is in the starting lineup is an obvious possibility. Packers fans also shouldn’t discount the idea that their team could look to draft a right tackle to help bolster the offense in a different way. No matter what, Green Bay fans should keep a close eye on the following five prospects.

5. Bernhard Raimann

Raimann has the athleticism to end up at left tackle as David Bakhtiari’s replacement one day, but he could slot in as an immediate upgrade over Dennis Kelly on the right side as a rookie. Drafting an offensive lineman might send some fans into panic mode if it happens before nabbing a wideout in Round 1, but no one should complain about landing Raimann. He has everything required to help keep Rodgers’ pocket clean next season.
