Another trip to the Copperhead Course and we’re checking in on the Valspar Championship payout for 2022 to see how much players get from the purse.

After a wild week at THE PLAYERS Championship, the PGA Tour stayed in Florida for the next week as they headed to the vaunted Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Golf Resort for the Valspar Championship with an impressive field that played out at the top of the leaderboard.

Coming into Sunday, young Davis Riley had made his move to the top of the leaderboard but with some stalwarts like Justin Thomas and defending champion Sam Burns lurking along with the likes of Adam Hadwin and Matthew NeSmith.

Brooks Koepka, though not in contention, went out early on Sunday to try and show that the scoring conditions were ripe in the final round and did so with a terrific 6-under round that stood the test for round of the day throughout the majority of Sunday. With that said, it was more of a grind for the leaders trying to make some noise.

After finding himself in a playoff with Riley, though, it was Burns who emerged on the second playoff hole to take the victory and back-to-back wins at the Copperhead Course.

All told, the field was vying for a share of the $7.8 million purse and the winner getting a Valspar Championship payout of $1.404 million. How does the rest of the money break down, though? We’ve got you covered.

Again, we’re not looking at the same type of huge money for the Valspar Championship payout that we were last week at THE PLAYERS. With that said, though, this is still some solid money as we continue to move our way through Florida.

More important than the money, though, it’s exciting for golf fans right now to see some of the best players in the world like Koepka, Thomas and many more round into form with The Master lying just around the corner.

Next. Best golfer from every U.S. state. dark
