After trading Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins, the Kansas City Chiefs have brought in Marquez Valdes-Scantling on a three-year deal.
From the moment the Kansas City Chiefs traded Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins, fans had been calling on general manager Brett Veach to bring in a stud wideout for Patrick Mahomes. Those people have gotten their wish.
According to Tom Pelissero, wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling is headed to the reigning AFC West champs on a three-year deal. The former Packer is going from catching balls from Aaron Rodgers to Patrick Mahomes.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling leaving the Packers stings for Aaron Rodgers
The Valdes-Scantling interest from the Chiefs emerged recently and it looked like the two sides were getting closer and closer to a deal. With Hill now in Miami, there was pressure on Veach to make sure he could find a suitable replacement for the offense.
While Hill is on another level than Valdes-Scantling, MVS is known for his blazing speed. There were several times last season where Rodgers would find him deep downfield for a huge gain. Speaking of Rodgers, he certainly doesn’t like seeing this news.
First, Rodgers saw his good friend Davante Adams traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, and now Valdes-Scantling is headed to the Chiefs. As for Kansas City, Valdes-Scantling joins Juju Smith-Schuster as the big additions for the aerial attack this offseason.
With Kansas City, this is a sound move and the contract numbers make things even better. According to FanSided’s Matt Verderame, Valdes-Scantling’s contract pretty much breaks down to two years for $18 million, with the third year being looked at as a team option.
Per source, I can confirm prior reports (@ByNateTaylor among them) the Chiefs' deal with Marquez Valdes-Scantling is essentially two years and $18M.

Third year is more-or-less a team option
This is a pretty reasonable deal for a player who has Valdes-Scantling’s potential. Chiefs fans can’t wait to see what he can do now that he’ll be working with Mahomes.
