2022 NFL Mock Draft: Tyreek Hill trade to Dolphins disrupts first round
By Brad Weiss
The Tennessee Titans made some big moves last year to improve the defense, and that led to them being the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC. They were able to do that despite Derrick Henry being out most of the second half of the season due to injury, so this is a roster that is playoff-ready heading into the offseason.
However, that does not mean that this roster does not have holes, and at pick No. 26 overall, they added a mauler to the offensive line. Trevor Penning could come in and start alongside Taylor Lewan as a rookie, especially with losses upfront due to free agency.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will in fact have Tom Brady under center next season, and based on the team’s email for season tickets, a second-year could be on the horizon. For Tampa Bay, they will likely be the team to beat in the NFC South next season, but they need help at wideout moving forward.
Picking at No. 27 overall, Tampa Bay gets Brady a stellar young weapon in Arkansas standout Treylon Burks. Tampa Bay will have Chris Godwin and Mike Evans back in 2022, and possibly Rob Gronkowski at tight end, giving Burks the perfect situation to come in as a rookie and learn.
The Green Bay Packers will now pick twice in the first round thanks to the Davante Adams trade, and here, they bring in a wide receiver. Not only did they lose Adams, but they also lost Marquez Valdes-Scantling to Kansas City, so help is needed at wide receiver.
With pick No. 28, the one they hold thanks for them making a run through the NFC Playoffs, they get the help they need. Skyy Moore is someone with an incredible ceiling, and with Aaron Rodgers getting him the ball, being selected by Green Bay is a best-case scenario for him.
