Look: Lane Kiffin trolls Vols with golf ball for first pitch at Ole Miss-Tennessee
By Ethan Lee
Invited to throw out the first pitch at the Ole Miss baseball game, Lane Kiffin had a bit of fun trolling the Tennessee Vols in the process.
Former Tennessee Volunteers head coach and current Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin seems to be having a ball at the Ole Miss-Tennessee baseball game.
Kiffin, who is fresh off of a 10-win season that ended with a Sugar Bowl appearance, got the opportunity to throw out the first pitch as the Rebels welcomed the Volunteers to Oxford. There’s a bit of hostility between Ole Miss and Tennessee as when the Rebels’ football team faced off against the Volunteers in Knoxville, fans tossed a number of things onto the field.
Like mustard and at least one golf ball.
The whole ordeal was an absolute mess and should have been avoided. There was absolutely zero reason for anything to be thrown at players or coaches or refs.
But now, months later, Kiffin has decided to have some fun with the matter.

Unfortunately for the Rebels, Kiffin’s fun doesn’t really do much for the scoreboard. The Vols are currently leading Ole Miss 11-0 in the seventh inning. On the bright side, there’s theoretically still some time for Ole Miss to get back into this game.
And hey, even if the Rebels can’t win, they can try again tomorrow.
