When Adams was drafted to the Packers in 2014, Cobb had been their for three seasons already. When Adams met Cobb for the first time, he assumed he was a seasoned wideout who was ā10 years inā to his NFL career. In reality, it was Cobbās forth season, and he was a few months away from turning 24 years old.
āItās funny, because when G-Mo came in he said the same thing about me,ā Adams recalled in 2018. āHe felt like I was an old guy. And I still donāt feel like an old guy now. So now, when they come in, I let them know ā Iām right there with you. Iām not that old just yet.ā
That year would prove to be Cobbās last in Green Bay before spending a season with the Dallas Cowboys, then another with the Houston Texans. When Cobb left, Adams seemed to take up the additional target share as his star rose even higher. Adams became a household name across the nation, his fantastical numbers garnering praise from fantasy fanatics and football fans alike.
Now, Adams is headed to the Las Vegas Raiders as he reunites with one of his old pals in Raiders quarterback Derek Carr. But as someone who has played for other teams, Cobb appreciates the time he did have playing alongside Adams in Green Bay.
