The North Carolina Tar Heels are Final Four bound for the first time since 2017.
On Sunday, the Tar Heels defeated the No. 15 Saint Peter’s Peacocks 69-49 to move onto the National Semifinal in Hubert Davis’ first season as head coach. Now, they have a matchup against the rival Duke Blue Devils on Apr. 2.

The Tar Heels, coming off of an impressive 73-66 over the No. 4 UCLA Bruins, faced off against the Peacocks, the very first team to make it to the Elite Eight as a 15-seed. The Tar Heels proved to be too much for the Peacocks, as they had a lead as large as 27-points in the game.
Junior forward Armando Bacot scored 20 points and recorded an impressive 22 rebounds to secure a double-double.
The Tar Heels are now two wins away from hoisting the national championship inside Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La. Not only are the Tar Heels facing the Blue Devils for the first time ever in the NCAA Tournament, but they have the opportunity to send Mike Krzyzewski, Duke’s head coach, into retirement with a victory.
