Former UNC Tar Heels players can’t wait to take on the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday night in the Final Four.

Could it end any other way for Coach K?

The legendary Duke Blue Devils coach will take on the North Carolina Tar Heels — his program’s most hated rival — in the Final Four with a trip to the Championship Game on the line. Sometimes, the sports scripts write themselves.

With these two schools separated by less than 10 miles, the Tobacco Road rivalry is arguably the best in sports. UNC fans and even former players have taken to social media to make their predictions, and share support for the Heels as they try to send Mike Krzyzewski to retirement with a loss.

Joel Berry, Bryce Johnson and Luke Maye all sent messages to Tar Heel Nation prior to Saturday’s game, hoping to pump up the fans and taking subliminal shots at that other school just a few miles away.

Much of it is unspoken, in part because it doesn’t have to be — these two sides are arch rivals. UNC has a chance to end Coach K’s career, what else needs to be said?

Are those direct call-outs? Of course not. But you best believe the trash talk is flowing come game time.
