Video emerges of Ronald Acuña’s comments about Freddie Freeman

Atlanta Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. tried backtracking on his Freddie Freeman comments, but video confirms he called his former teammate out. 

Did Ronald Acuña Jr. really think he’d be able to get away with calling out Freddie Freeman? On Wednesday night, Twitter exploded when quotes emerged of Acuña Jr. blasting Freeman, saying he won’t miss him at all with Atlanta.

Acuña tried to step things back on his Twitter account, but the full translation of his video appearance has arrived. It confirms that the young outfielder indeed isn’t too keen on the new Dodgers first baseman.

Ronald Acuña Jr. made it clear he’s not a fan of Freddie Freeman

In the video above, along with the translation from Alden Gonzalez, Acuña Jr. had a look on his face that confirms he wasn’t upset whatsoever when he found out Freeman had signed with the Dodgers.

Acuña Jr. brought up the times the veterans on the team, including Freeman, would make him wipe off his eye black and not let him wear his hat tilted to the side. Other than sharing the same stadium, per Acuña Jr., he and Freeman didn’t have much in common.

This comes as a bit of a surprise for the Atlanta fanbase, as Freeman was known for being a respected teammate. He stole countless hearts while donning a Braves jersey. However, that wasn’t the case for Acuña Jr.

The Atlanta standout missed most of last year with his torn ACL, but he’s all set to have a bounce-back campaign in 2022. Obviously, the next series between the Braves and Dodgers just got a whole lot more interesting thanks to Acuña Jr.’s comments on Freeman.

Freeman is yet to respond, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he comes back with a passionate quote or two.
