The Masters payout has increased for 2022 so we’re taking a look at the purse and the prize money the winner and every player in the field will make.

The Masters is about to sadly come to a close on Sunday and it looks as if the 2022 trip to Augusta National Golf Club is down to a two-man race for the final 18 holes. Scottie Scheffler took a commanding lead on Friday but saw Cameron Smith make up ground on Saturday. Then, the two entered Sunday chasing the big-time payout in the final group.

At the end, it was Scheffler that emerged with the victory on Sunday, shooting a 71 in the final round, which was enough to keep his distance from Smith, a chargin Rory McIlroy and many others.

Speaking of that Masters payout, that’s a number that’s set to go up this year to record highs. After it was a still-impressive $11.5 million purse last year, they’ve upped it drastically with an increase to $15 million, giving even more allure to the Green Jacket than already exists.

But how much of that chunk of change does the winner get? And what does every other player take home? Don’t worry, we’ve got the answers for you.

Masters prize money: Winner’s payout for 2022

The winner of The Masters obviously gets to slip on the Green Jacket but there’s quite a bit of money on the table too. Winning at Augusta National will earn the victorious golfer $2.7 million with the new increased purse. That’s the highest a winner at this tournament will have ever received before.

Regardless, this is still an enormous sum of money that the players are playing for in addition to the prestige and glory that comes from winning this tournament. Not that players needed an incentive to make it to Augusta, but now they have an even bigger one with this type of payday on the table.
