2. John Kuhn

John Kuhn spent his very first season in the NFL with the Steelers and moved to the Green Bay Packers afterward. He is mostly associated with the Packers, but he had an incredible run with the Steelers as a rookie. He joined the Steelers in 2006 and won a Super Bowl Championship in his first year.

Kuhn’s journey into the NFL is compelling because he faced many hardships leading up to his draft, but he never backed down. He wasn’t offered many scholarships for college, but he found a way to play despite that.

He worked hard to make it onto a college team and then further into the NFL, so winning a Super Bowl in his first season is a highly special achievement. He spent some time practicing with NFL teams in 2005 but not officially playing. The Steelers were one of the teams he actively practiced with, which he seemed to use as an opportunity to prove he deserved to be in the NFL.

"“This has been a great experience. And at the same time, it provides me with a golden opportunity. It gives me a chance to show what I can do on a daily basis, and that I can take the wear and tear of a season. And, most importantly, it gives me an opportunity to help my team win.” -John Kuhn, via Bleacher Report"
