Watch Phillies’ Alec Bohm put on the opposite of a fielding clinic
By Ethan Lee
The Philadelphia Phillies may want to go over some fundamentals with Alec Bohm after what had to be a frustrating time fielding Monday against the New York Mets.
Alec Bohm might need some help fielding and he almost certainly needs something to take his mind off the awful performance he just put up in the Philadelphia Phillies’ game against the New York Mets. Bohm had an absurdly awful time against the Mets.
Bohm’s performance was miserable. It was absolutely less than stellar and he almost certainly wants to move on from this disaster.
The first error is bad, but pretty forgivable, all things considered. Bohm is just trying to do too much right there in that moment and makes a mistake. Things happen.

But the second and third throws? Those are… bad. Very, very bad. There’s no reason for those throws to be as off as they are. It might just be a bad night, but it would be one heck of a bad night.
Maybe Bohm can shake it off and get back to playing without throwing the ball all over the place. For the sake of the 25-year-old third baseman and for the sake of their team’s ability to go out and win plenty of games this season, Phillies fans should hope that’s the case.
There are a number of different ways to say it, but that doesn’t matter. What does matter is the fact that Bohm had absolutely no fun in Monday’s game against the Mets? There’s just no way anyone has fun with a game like this.
