Alex Rodriguez just commented on the Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck engagement news.
Sports and entertainment often intersect. Often that’s due to athletes and non-sports celebrities dating (hello every Kardashian/Jenner relationship).
So when actress/singer Jennifer Lopez and former Yankees star Alex Rodriguez began seriously dating, baseball fans paid attention. Now that the couple has split and Lopez is dating her old flame Ben Affleck, the sports world is watching to see how Rodriguez will react. Especially now that the couple is engaged.
While appearing on ESPN 2’s Sunday Night Baseball, Michael Kay, teased the big announcement.
“It’s a great time in sports,” Kay said. “You have a new Masters champion, NBA playoffs are about to start, baseball is in full swing, people getting engaged. I mean, it’s a happy time in the world.”
To which the former slugger replied, “Happiness and world peace is what we’re looking for.”
Rodriguez and Lopex dated for four years and got engaged in March 2019, two years later, they split. Lopez dated Affleck previously.
