Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry could be set to return to practice this week ahead of the NBA Playoffs.
The Golden State Warriors clinched the third-seed in the Western Conference with their win over the New Orleans Pelicans in the regular-season finale this past Sunday. They now have to face off against the Denver Nuggets and NBA MVP candidate Nikola Jokic in the first-round. Ahead of the big series, the Warriors received some good news regarding their star player — Stephen Curry.
Curry, who has missed the tail-end of the regular-season due to a sprained ligament and bone bruise in his left foot, is expected to practice in full this week ahead of the first-round, per the Warriors.

Golden State’s first game against Denver takes place on Saturday, Apr. 16. ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted out that a source told the network that it is a “close call” that Curry would be able to play in Game 1 for the Warriors.
Head coach Steve Kerr revealed that he will not allow Curry to play in the first game of their first-round series without him taking part in a scrimmage. Kerr said that he expects to hold a scrimmage on Thursday, Apr. 14.
Curry suffered his injury back on March 16 during Golden State’s game against the Boston Celtics.
This season, Curry averaged 25.5 points, 6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds while shooting 43.7-percent from the field and 38.0-percent from the three-point line.
With Curry on the court in the playoffs, the Warriors’ chances of winning drastically increases. There should be more clarity regarding Curry’s availability for Game 1 against the Nuggets later on in the week.
