While Clayton Kershaw didn’t get a chance to finish out a perfect game, he had a much calmer reaction than most on Twitter.

Clayton Kershaw needed a grand total of six more outs to have a perfect game when he was ultimately pulled from the game by Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.

Roberts’ controversial decision to pull his pitcher from the game despite the fact that Kershaw was dealing and really hadn’t exhausted himself pitching led to a number of very intense and angry reactions only. Many were upset and some absurdly furious over the fact that Kershaw didn’t have a shot to get a perfect game.

But how did Kershaw react? Well, in a relatively reasonable and calm manner.

That’s certainly a reaction that differs from what most of the people on Twitter had.

Los Angeles Dodgers: Clayton Kershaw has mellow and reasonable reaction after being taken out of perfect game

All things considered, Kershaw’s reaction was pretty benign and almost boring. Just about everyone would have seen it as perfectly understandable if he would have been publicly upset about missing out on this opportunity for a perfect game.

But the dude seems very calm about the whole situation.

Given Kershaw’s age and the fact that the Dodgers are aiming to win another World Series, it’s more than reasonable that Roberts would want to protect his pitcher. This particular instance does seem like a bit much and overly cautious, but it looks like Kershaw isn’t exactly all that upset about the situation.

Who knows if Kershaw will ever be in position to get a perfect game again? It may never happen. This may have been his last best shot at one.

But at least publicly, Kershaw is reacting in a pretty mellow manner. That’s admittedly pretty cool to see.
