After what has felt like years of negotiations, the Raiders and Derek Carr have finally come to terms on a contract extension.
What an offseason it has been for the Las Vegas Raiders. First, the team pulled off the blockbuster move in trading for superstar wide receiver Davante Adams. That of course fired up Derek Carr. Well, the star signal-caller is even happier – and richer – following Wednesday’s news.
In case you missed it, Carr and the Raiders have agreed to a monster three-year extension worth more than $120 million. From the moment Ian Rapoport dropped his report, the Las Vegas faithful have been going nuts on social media.
The #Raiders and QB Derek Carr have reached agreement on a 3-year, $121.5M extension, per @RapSheet. That comes in at $40.5M per year in new money. He's now locked in for the foreseeable future -- along with his buddy Davante Adams. Big offseason in Vegas.

Raiders fans are hyped up over the Derek Carr contract
The last thing anyone wanted to see was Carr and the Raiders front office run into any kinds of issues. There’s no worry there, as Carr has locked in his new deal. Parties are no doubt being thrown all over Sin City.
Arguably the best quarterback in the entire NFL, the Raiders really got a steal with this deal! Well done

He’s gonna be an MVP candidate similar to what happened with Stafford when he got to LA…both are mid lvl QBs with great supporting casts and offensive minded head coaches.

There’s plenty of haters out there trying to come at the Raiders and Carr, but who in the heck cares? A lot of people are saying Carr is still the worst signal-caller in the division, but Las Vegas trusts him to get them over the top.
Last season, the Raiders snuck into the playoffs, but fell to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Wild Card Round. Regardless of that, there’s plenty of excitement around this team now that Adams has been added to the offense.
Adams is one of the best wideouts in the NFL. It’s going to be weird no longer seeing him in a Green Bay Packers jersey, but everyone in Vegas is ready for him to catch balls from Carr.
