Phillies: Alec Bohm thanks fans for standing ovation despite hating Philadelphia

Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm showed his appreciation for the Phillies and his fans just one night after expressing his frustration.

Philadelphia Phillies’ Alec Bohm had a difficult game against the New York Mets on Monday with three errors. He expressed his frustration and stated, “I [expletive] hate this place” (via ESPN). His feelings changed quickly when he received a standing ovation from the crowd the next night as a pinch-hitter.

Bohm may have felt frustrated from his difficult performance the night prior, but he seems to appreciate the city and its fans.

He also seems to have some appreciative feelings about the standing ovation, and he overall seems to appreciate the fans more than anything.

While Bohm expressed his appreciation for the fans and the Phillies, Phillies manager Joe Girardi expressed his appreciation for Bohm.
